DFM Research Tracker: Privacy Notice

Effective October 16, 2026

‍

‍

1. What this is. DFM Research Tracker is an internal analytics tool of Dragonfruit Media Co ("Dragonfruit", "we"). It studies the public performance of YouTube videos so our team can understand what packaging and timing work. It is not offered to the public and has no sign-up or sign-in for outside users.
‍

2. YouTube API Services. The tracker accesses YouTube only through YouTube API Services. By using it, Dragonfruit is bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's use of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke any access you have granted to apps on your own Google account at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. The tracker does not ask anyone to sign in with Google and holds no one's Google credentials.
‍

3. What we collect. Only public information that YouTube makes available through its Data API for public channels and videos: channel IDs and titles; video IDs, titles, descriptions, publish dates, thumbnail links; and public statistics such as view and like counts. We do not collect private data, viewer data, comments or any information about people who watch.
‍

4. What we create from it. We calculate measures of our own from public statistics (for example how a video's views compare with its channel's usual results, and whether a video appears to have paid promotion). We also use outside services to analyze titles, descriptions and thumbnail images (see section 6). These measures are generated independently by Dragonfruit. They are not data from YouTube and are not endorsed by YouTube or Google.
‍

5. How we use it. Internally, to help Dragonfruit's team plan packaging and to report to the creators it works with how their videos compare. We do not sell the data, rent it, use it for advertising or profiling people, or give it to anyone who is not acting on our behalf.
‍

6. Who processes it for us. Service providers acting only on our behalf: Cloudflare (runs the collector and our staff page), Turso (hosts the database), Voyage AI (turns thumbnail images into numeric fingerprints; our account has training on our data switched off), and Anthropic (analyzes titles, descriptions and thumbnails to write internal notes on each video's packaging; under Anthropic's API terms, inputs are not used to train its models by default).
‍

7. How long we keep it.

8. Your choices. If your channel is tracked and you want it removed, email admin@dragonfruitmedia.co with the channel link. We confirm by email and delete as above.
‍

9. Security. The database and collector use encrypted connections and access is limited to named Dragonfruit staff and the service providers above. No system is perfectly secure.
‍

10. Changes. We update this notice when our practices change and change the effective date at the top.
‍

11. Contact. Dragonfruit Media Co, admin@dragonfruitmedia.co, https://dragonfruitmedia.co.
